
Focus group meetings were conducted with the students of our department on December 24 and 25, 2025, with the participation of the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif BULUT; the Deputy Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysel ÇETİNDERE FİLİZ; and faculty members Res. Asst. Dr. Seda ABACIOĞLU YEŞİLTEPE and Res. Asst. Merve GÜLMEZ ÖZDEMİR.
During the focus group meetings, students’ views, expectations, and experiences regarding the teaching and learning process were discussed comprehensively. Students’ opinions were gathered on course contents, assessment and evaluation methods, opportunities for practical training, internship expectations, and the overall academic structure of the department. Students were also given the opportunity to directly share the problems they encounter and their suggestions for improvement.
The Head of the Department and the faculty members emphasized the critical importance of student feedback for the department’s continuous improvement processes. It was stated that such meetings strengthen the student-centered education approach and contribute to the department’s academic quality objectives.
The focus group meetings were productive in that they enhanced mutual communication between students and academic staff and provided valuable insights for the department’s future planning. The meetings concluded following an evaluation session and the exchange of good wishes.
